MESSAGE FROM THE HEAD OF SHINNYO-EN

/> Throughout the long history of humanity, spirituality has helped human beings make the most of their lives and cope with the unknowns of the universe. Two thousand five hundred years ago, the Buddha Shakyamuni appeared in the world to teach kindness and compassion. Both before and after him, other great teachers and prophets have also appeared to guide humanity on its path to higher consciousness. Whether it is Buddhism or any other creed, what links all traditions is people's sincere devotion to embodying truth and sharing it with others. I firmly believe this kind of dedication is what will forge a better future for humankind.

The Founder of Shinnyo-en devoted his life to overcoming barriers between human beings and fostering well-rounded individuals who could help many other people find true liberation. This was his sacred wish, and as his successor, I shall do my utmost to make this a reality. This is the essence of our scriptures and teachings-to bring about a peace, happiness, and harmony that is lasting and durable. Toward this goal, I would like to work with other people of the world.
