CURRENT NEWS Ceremony at the Daigoji monastery to commemorate the 1,100th anniversary of the passing of Daigoji’s founder: the Venerable Master Shobo Rigen At the invitation of the Daigoji monastery, Her Holiness Keishu Shinso, the head of Shinnyo-en, presided over a historic ceremony at Daigoji’s main hall on October 16, 2009 to commemorate the 1,100th anniversary of the passing of Daigoji’s founder and one of the most important of Shinnyo-en’s spiritual forbearers: the Venerable Master Shobo Rigen. The occasion also had special significance for the Shinnyo-en community, which wished to express its deepest gratitude for Founder Kyoshu Shinjo's succession to the Ein Samaya dharma stream seventy years ago at Daigoji. Saisho Homa in Berlin Saisho Homa, a traditional Buddhist fire ritual, was held at the Velodrome in Berlin June 21, 2009.
