AT THE TEMPLEIn Shinnyo-en, the temple is a place to enshrine the Buddha and provide a venue for religious training. Services and trainings are held for all regardless of whether one's a lay practitioner or priest. All are considered equal on the path of enlightenment without regard to gender, nationality or background.Although day-to-day life is considered to be the most important place of training to realize the heart of the teachings, the temple provides a space for followers to reflect objectively and in peaceful circumstances. Any hints or insights obtained there should then be put into practice outside the temple. |
